Save the date – February 20th

Join us at the Lumberyard in Portland for a fun night in memory of Matt Klee.

Wet trails got you down? Join us at the Lumberyard, Portland’s unique indoor bike park. Jump lines, pump tracks, skill sections and technical trail riding for beginners to experts. We’ll be there all evening on Friday, February 20th. $24.95 gets you in the door. $15 gets you a rental bike (or bring your own). 50% of admission on this evening goes to HRATS, so tell all your friends! Matt loved the Lumberyard. Come see why. We promise you’ll have a fantastic and fun evening, and you’ll pick up some new skills!

Kleeway update…

We sense a little excitment about the Kleeway. People keep asking. Here’s an update: Jason Wells, master IMBA trailbuilder, has been playing in the woods with the excavator. He’s made some progress, as you can see from the banner photo on this email. Approximately 1.372 miles of the approximately 3 miles total is dug out, and the hand-finishing on that section has begun. When will it be done? We don’t have that answer yet. Just keep your fingers crossed for good building weather, because the better the weather, the sooner the Kleeway will open!

We spend responsibly…

We’re a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Maybe you knew that, maybe you didn’t. Now you do. Make donations, because they’re tax-deductible. But we’re not showing you a pie chart to badger you. We just want you to know that we spent 77% of your money on trails and only 8% on admin in the last year. If you track charities, you know these are great numbers. We’ll keep spending your money wisely. Thanks for supporting HRATS with your hard-earned dollars!
