“I pedal through the pain and those two damn years in Iraq.”
Readjusting to life after serving in Iraq was extremely difficult. I had horrible dreams every night, but felt nothing. I was disconnected and drinking. Instead of confronting my problems, I was running and hiding from them. Luckily I rediscovered an old passion in the nick of time: I started riding mountain bikes again. Now I work to help other veterans, and I find my own peace in corners and flowy trails. I ride a Mission Pro.
