Reach the Beach is widely acknowledged as the official start of the Oregon cycling season. Four different route options ensure the event has a little something for everyone – from experienced cyclists to those new to distance riding. Characterized by Oregon’s stunningly varied landscape, the ride proceeds from rolling wine country fields, through tiny towns, to the pounding surf and soaring dunes of Cape Kiwanda where a finish line beach party awaits. The waves will be crashing on the shore as the sun sets behind Haystack Rock and you relax at the award-winning Pelican Pub in Pacific City. The ride is limited to 3,000 riders and it will sell out – sign up early and tell your friends so you don’t miss out!
Reach the Beach is a top notch ride with amazing support.

ABOUT THE CAUSE
The American Lung Association’s mission is to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease.
The American Lung Association of the Mountain Pacific saves lives and improves health through research, education and advocacy. We fight to reduce smoking, keep the air we breathe clean, prevent and treat lung diseases such as asthma, COPD and lung cancer. Our seven-state region includes Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Alaska and Hawaii.
The American Lung Association® was founded in 1906 as part of the first nationwide corps of volunteers organized to combat a single disease: tuberculosis. Today we’re working to make the world a better place to breathe.
Our goals include reducing tobacco use, especially among young people; preventing and controlling air pollution; and providing education and funding research to make life more comfortable for people with asthma or other lung disease.
The Lung Association is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that relies on donations of time, talent, and treasure from individuals like you. There are a number of ways you can join the fight against lung disease.
