‘Washougal CX’ – Cyclocross Race

Directions –
From Portland (via I-5 or I-205): Take SR-14 east towards Camas/Washougal. . Heading east on SR-14, after passing Camas turn LEFT at 15th Street in Washougal. Head north on 15th St. At Evergreen Hwy 15th becomes 17th, continue north. 17th becomes Washougal River Road. Stay on Washougal River Rd. for 5 -1/2 miles. Turn LEFT at NE Hughes Road. Turn RIGHT at NE Borin Road. At 1 mile on Borin turn LEFT at the Washougal MX Park Sign. After signing the property waiver, turn RIGHT at the first road/gate.

Course – ‘Washougal CX’
This will be the same course as the ‘Winter CX’ race course for the last few years. We’ll use all of the service roads in and around the motocross course complex. In fact we’ll even hit the MX course a few times. Be prepared for lots of fast gravel, mud, tunnels, bogs, and a bit of grass. And yes, there will be Ninkasi beer and Hot Cider Fireballs!

12:30pm – Juniors: Cat 3/4/5: Men & Women, 10-18yo (30 min)
1:10pm – Men 2/3, SS Men, Jr. Men 1/2/3 (45 min)

2:10pm – Women: Master 1/2 35+, Cat 3, Master 3 35+, Mast 50+, Cat 4, Cat 5, Jr. Women 1/2/3 (45 min)

** Kiddie Kross: A non-competitive event for those 12 and under. Modified course. This race is FREE. Parent/guardian must sign entry/release form.

Parking –
There is ample parking at the MX Park. Please follow the volunteers instructions.

Registration – Two ways to register:
1) Pre-registration: $30 adults, $15 Jrs (Online Registration closes Friday October 13th at 5pm)

Prizes – Random prizes (generously provide by sponsors) awarded at end of each race.

Volunteer –
Race entry will be waived in lieu of volunteer service provided. We need course marshals and people to help with set-up and tear-down.

Membership & Licenses – OBRA membership required for all riders. Single race memberships are available for $5.00. Season OBRA memberships are available for $30.

Race Numbers – We will be using OBRA CX numbers.

Important Notes –
• Cyclocross rules in effect. Standard Bicycle racing rules apply. Approved helmets required at all times (including riding to and from registration, during warm-up, cool down) while at the venue. Failure to comply could result in disqualification. Course is closed for warm-up until clearance has been given by the chief judge and/or race director.
• Please use the provided Port-a-Potties, not the bushes.

OBRA and the organizers of this race do not provide insurance coverage for injuries that occur at the race. The costs related to those injuries are the responsibility of the individual participant. Helmets must be worn at all times while on a bike. Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry for any reason.
