Golden Eagle Bike Park Matching Funds

Hello Everyone,

We hope you have seen the new additions to the Golden Eagle Bike Park! The additions are adjacent to the pump track near the Hood River High School, and they include progressive Dirt Jump lines and a Beginners Skills Track with low skinnies for very young riders (striders and up).
The new jump lines are getting lots of use by riders of all ages, showing how crucial outdoor play space is in these crazy times. HRATS is proud of this project, especially our partnership with Hood River Parks and Recreation, and because it fulfills the need for more centralized and accessible riding opportunities for everyone in the Gorge.
HRATS moved forward with building the Bike Park additions before fundraising because of COVID-19. A local fundraising event will still have to wait a little longer, but we have applied for a matching grant opportunity from Specialized’s OUTRIDE FUND. Our matching grant deadline is approaching, and we really need to hit our goal of $5000 by AUGUST 8th. This $10k in funds will replenish funds for future projects. HRATS is currently working on a significant addition in the Whoopdee area. So we mustn’t let this opportunity pass by.
